How long have you been doing your craft?  I have always been creative. As a teenager, I spent lunch time in the school art studio, developing my own unique style. I spent hours experimenting with visual art mediums. When my shop first opened I decided to learn wire jewelry making to expand my skillset.
How did you get started?   The birth of my son inspired me to follow two of my biggest dreams: starting my own business, and pursuing my artistic abilities. I NEVER expected these two dreams to collide! Etsy was the perfect match.
Where else can people find you online?    I sell exclusively on Etsy. I can also be found on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest. My email is bnbzboutiqu3@gmail.com.

What do you like about selling on Etsy?  The community behind Etsy keeps me coming back. The forums, teams, groups on Facebook and other social media, and YouTube channels, make learning and connecting with other makers so easy.
What brought you to Etsy?  I have been on Etsy for about 10 years as a buyer, so it was the first place I thought of when I decided to give my art business a shot.
What's been your best Etsy experience?  I sold three orders in one day! These were my first three sales and they went off without a hitch. One of them was a custom psychedelic commission, which made me super proud (she pre-paid!). I couldn’t have asked for more friendly or supportive clients.

Is there anything else you would like to share with us about your shop or yourself?  My psychedelic artwork encourages everyone to show off the parts of themselves that can’t be put into words. Each piece is designed completely from my imagination! I try to offer different sizes/prices so there is something for everyone.

How long has your shop been open?  Since 2009. I originally sold sewing and spinning in my shop. But since 2012 have focused on wall hangings created using traditional rug hooking techniques.
How long have you been doing your craft?  Since 1985.

How did you get started?   My eldest child was 10 months old and colicky. My sister-in-law suggested I needed to get out of the house a bit. Her mother taught rug hooking classes. No one would take care of my daughter, so we took her with us...along with a baby swing. As long as the baby swing was going she was quiet. As soon as it stopped she'd start to cry. It was a long day or two, learning to hook. But it was fun because my sister-in-law and her mother had a great attitude about the whole thing. And I was captivated by the potential for the craft right from the start.

What do you like about selling on Etsy?   I can reach a wide diversity of people from all over the place. It's easy to list and manage your items for sale. There's support and help if you need it.

What brought you to Etsy?    I saw Etsy as an opportunity to sell my handmade items among a friendly network of people knowledgeable about online selling.
What's been your best Etsy experience?  Selling my large Prairie Sky wall hanging to a woman in Florida. Florida is a long ways away from Saskatchewan. She was so delighted with it, and the Etsy platform ran smoothly for me.

Is there anything else you would like to share with us about your shop or yourself?
The work in my shop is all original designs, most of them worked directly on backing without a pattern, and therefore not reproducible.

I am a juried member of the Saskatchewan Craft Council. I exhibit across North America. I have work in private collections in South Korea, the United States, and in Canada.

I am pleased to have my shop featured by Etsy. Thank you for all the opportunities Etsy!

How long have you been doing your craft and how did you get started?  I have been creating greeting cards since I was a little girl, but really didn't get into it commercially until 1998 when I submitted some of my work. That was a big day when some of my designs were accepted!

What do you like about selling on Etsy?  What I like about selling on Etsy...hmmm...I have only sold one item! But it was so exciting, never the less to know someone out there actually likes what I do!
What brought you to Etsy?  My daughters and daughter-in-law brought me to Etsy. They would be wearing something they bought on Etsy and I would always ask
them where they got it and they would say "Etsy"! So of course, I was curious to know what "Etsy" is and had to check it out. I have bought a few things from Etsy and have also sent some gift cards. So you can see I like Etsy!
What's been your best Etsy experience?   My Etsy experience is very new to me, but in the last couple of weeks I have had so much fun! It is a lot of fun to see people favouriting my shop or even just viewing it from all over the world. I feel like I am connecting with other creative people.

Is there anything else you would like to share with us about your shop or yourself?   One thing that I like about having my own little Etsy company is that I have the freedom to create what I want and not be bound by the limits of a large publishing company.I am free to be just me!
